Integrating web in your corporate identity: Web Design Manuals
Wednesday, November 8th, 16.00
Category: Beginner
Track: Project Management
Most corporate identity manuals do not properly take into account that the main part of a company's market presence has moved to the web. They still deal with implementing the company's graphic identity in business cards, envelopes, letterheads, and so on.
The Web Design Manual is important because it strengthens the company's graphic identity on the web and helps the organisation develop a good website now and in the future without facing the risk of an eroded graphic identity.
In this session attendees will learn about the advantages (and problems) of having a web design manual. What are the elements of the manual and how can it best be implemented as a tool for the organisation. The session builds upon a forthcoming book that Andreas is currently writing using a blog to support the process. The book will be published as a free publication under Creative Commons license.
